With the exhausting stress that has come from my husbands job this summer, it has been so easy for me to forget all that I truly have and how blessed I actually am. I think it is so easy for anyone to forget how much they actually already have in their life when they keep searching for more. One of my favorite actresses, Katherine Heigl once said, "So much about living life, to me, is about humility and gratitude. And I've tried very hard to have those qualities and be that person and I'm just so disappointed in myself that I allowed it to slip". Why do I love what she said? Because I am so GUILTY of letting it slip away from time to time. The past few days, in my quiet hours, I have pondered on the many things I have and I am grateful for. I didn't realize how BIG my list really was!

First and foremost, I am grateful for the Lord and my savior Jesus Christ. I am grateful they listen to my struggles, happiness, fears, etc. every time I pray at any given time of the day. I am grateful for the love I feel being a daughter of God. At the end of the day, if nobody loves me, "they" do. (Quote from an old seminary teacher) |

Secondly, I am so grateful for Temple. I am grateful for the peace I feel when I am there. I am so grateful to be able to escape from the world for a minute, and go to the Temple to feel close to my Heavenly Father. Most refreshing feeling ever. I often feel that every time I attend the temple, my faith is strengthened. |

Thirdly, I am grateful for this man right here! I never knew what unconditional love was until I met him. Being together 8 years, I have learned the most about life being married these past 2 1/2 years. I am grateful for his love towards me. I am grateful he loves my imperfections and sticks by my side even through my darkest hours. I am also grateful for the ride he puts me through! ;) His family should know what I am talking about! Through the thick and thin, there is no one else I would rather take on this life with besides him. What an amazing eternal companion I have!

I am grateful that I have such a strong, driven, smart, loving, and caring woman to look up to, that being my mom. She has truly taught me so much through her examples. The biggest thing she has probably taught me is the gift of giving. I have never seen a woman more giving. Many can I agree that this woman and I can, and have, fought like cats and dogs (because were so alike), but as we grow older, the closer we are getting. I couldn't have asked for a better momma.

I am grateful for my dad! This man right here has taught me how to be a goofball and laugh often! He is my favorite part of why I LOVE being the only girl in the family. My dad is my "pick me up" if you will, when I need it the most. I haven't ever heard my dad tell me of any flaw that I have. He has and continues to always making me feeling like such an amazingly woman! I must admit I am a Daddy's Girl and no one quite touches my heart the way my father can. Even when he can be a little stubborn ass! ;) Love you so much dad!

Where oh where would I be without my brothers and Sis- in-law! Kenny has been, well, let's just say good at being a big brother.. ;). I can say that underneath all my sensitivity, there's a "tough" spot that I have from growing up with Kenny. Through the name calling, choking, punching, teasing, etc., that is just me and Kenny's way of telling each other "i love you". Thank goodness there was Chris that came after all the punching and teasing haha! My little brother has always been so sweet and tender towards me. He is always making sure his "little/big" sis is getting taken care of. I am grateful for his sensitivity towards me. Then there is Jaynee. Jaynee officially became my sister in law about a year ago and I was so stoked she became part of the family. She is not only crazy and loves to have fun (and shop haha) , but ever since she became a mama to my nephews, I have seen a more tender side to her that is so rewarding to see! She is a great mom and wonderful example to me. Gotta love her crazy ass!!
I am grateful for these little boys!!!! The day I became Auntie KK was easily (besides my wedding day) the best day of my life! These two have their aunt wrapped around their little fingers. I have loved watching Carter grow and he has the sweetest personality ever. Reese made his debut just this past April, and I only got to spend a few hours with him. I can't wait to return to Utah snuggle and kiss that little dude! I am grateful for these little nuggets and the love I feel when I am with them. I know I am totally bias, but really.. tell me these aren't the cutest damn babies you've ever seen!!!!!
Ok so I just realized, it would probably take me DAYS to add a picture for the 1,203,232,010,392 things I am grateful for so a list will have to do:
- My extended family
- My in-laws
- Dance
- Education
- Good health
- Roof over my head
- Reality TV ( what would I do without HoneyBooBoo or KUWTK?!?)
- Music
- The gospel
- All four seasons of the year
- Holidays
- Saturday Date Nights
- All of my pets
- My car
- My bed
- People who truly influence or inspire me
- Hair color
- Food
- Water
Okay, I won't lie, my list still doesn't end, but you get the picture right? I am not the one to paint the perfect picture, let me tell you my life is no where near perfect, but damn do I LOVE it!!!! So next time, you're feeling discouraged, down, angry, etc. remember all that you are grateful for. Write it down if you have to. You just might be surprised how truly blessed you already are. When all is said and done, I love my life and I wouldn't change ONE thing about it. :)
