So long sweet summer of 2012!

I can't believe this summer is ending so soon!! Guess time flies when you're having fun! It has been such a great summer here in Nolans. This past month has been more than I could have asked for. I had a great birthday. My grandparents flew out and took Ty and I took Florida to get away for a couple of days. The beach was so beautiful and we had a great time eating yummy seafood, sighting dolphins off the pier, and a wild yet crazy fun time on the wave runners. Needless to say it was more than what I could ask for. NowI am counting down the days and hours til I head back to Utah. It is a bitter/sweet thing for me. Bitter because I will miss the jazz music, beignets, "river" walks, and the people here. Sweet because I am ready to go back to school, missed my family, and surprisingly I have missed the Utah mountains. Too look back on this summer, I have been most grateful to spend so much time with Tyler. I can honestly say that during the school semesters, we never see each other. We have never spent so much time together since we have been married. It has been fun to sleep in and snuggle with my boy, watch tv all cuddled up on the couch for countless hours, and having time to cook and have meal time together. I have actually learned how to cook a lot more! Needless to say, this is the summer I exactly needed. Time to rekindle my relationship with my love and remember all the reasons why I chose forever with him. If it is one thing I learned this summer, it is to never get too busy to forget the ones you love and the things that are truly important in life. Nolans... you have been great to me! Thanks for a wonderful summer and a thanks to those who made memories with me!

Ashley and I one day stuck in traffic. Saw this and I instantly knew this is what I wanted to do with my life! (jk lol)
Birthday weekend! One night stay in the French Quarters.
Happy 22 to me! Birthday girl.

Fort Walten Beach. Beautiful beach with the whitest sand!

Yup. My grandma and I split a dozen of them. SOO yummy!

Ty would kill me if he knew I had this on here. But we made him do it. It was too funny not to take a pic. What a stud!

I ate soo good my birthday weekend! These crab legs were so delicious!

Going to let my balloons go out in the ocean. Great ending to a fabulous birthday!

This is what five hour traffic will do to ya!

My boy was pooped after a long weekend on the beach.

My Birthday Cake!

Oh the places you'll go!

New Orleans has been good to us. This summer you could definitely say this has NOT been reality for me. Waking up, having time to cook breakfast, pandora blasted while at the gym, and rest of my day is spent either snuggled up on the couch watching Pretty Little Liars (new obsession) or hanging with all the fun wives out here! Needless to say, it has been a LONG vacation for me. Tyler is continuing to work hard and we are grateful for another successful summer. Anywho, my mother flew me in for a surprise to make it to me nephews FIRST birthday... I cried...a lot. Following that, my little bro came in for six days and we had a blast together from going to the zoo, eating beignets, and visiting the WWII museum! I also cried when he left, but he told me to "Nut up n' shut up". LOL! As for now, I am almost 22 (in a few days) , and my grandparents are coming into town and we are headed to FLORIDA! Well that is all for now folks! Here are some pictures of our adventures thus far this summer!

Livin' in Nola.

Hey everyone. As many of you may know, I moved out here to New Orleans because it got too rough being away from Tyler. It has been quite the adventure so far and Ty and I feel so blessed to be able to travel the country before we settle (kids). Currently we are living right in the city of New Orleans in apartments called Saratoga Apartments. We have been pleased so far minus the sirens we here every night that go off about every 20 mins, BUT other than that we grill, game, and spend time with some great friends! Check it out...

The adventures of Kanaraville.

I'd like to say that the months I spend away from Tyler are probably the most I get to see my family. Through out the summer were always taking quick little get-a-ways for the weekend. We run off to Vegas, Cali, or Southern Utah. This past weekend we headed to Kanarraville (You may be asking where the heck that is) and spend time at the cabin where we are out in the boonies! My grandparents, mom, her boyfriend, and his parents came up and spent the weekend there. Needless to say, I spent the whole weekend "gold hunting" with my grandpa Wally which took  A LOT of patience. Digging in dirt isn't my cup of tea, but I did it for his excitement. Other than prospecting for the big golden nugget, sleeping there is spooky. I am such a wimp that I slept with my grandma while my grandpa slept on a cot next to us. To my surprise, my grandpa Wally was such a scaredy cat! He woke up every 20 minutes asking "what was that?!" Any little noise the house made, he jumped up and grabbed his flashlight. All in all, such a fun weekend with good company!
Gold Prospectors

Had Wally's snake chaps on ready to dig!

The past year and four months in a nutshell!

Hey there blog world! Feels good to be back! My goal here is to try to wrap up the past year and four months as short as possible. From weddings, to newborn babies, to holidays, etc.... I can honestly say A LOT has gone on since a year and four months ago.

February - April 2011 : As many of you may know, Ty and I got married and were newlyweds. Adjusting to the new life had quite the challenges, but many wonderful new experiences as well. Ty and I loved the fact that we were married and on our own with no more rules! It took us a good to month to actually get used to sleeping together and not having one of us go home because of a "curfew". (no we didn't have actual "curfew" at ages 20 and 22, it was our Bishop who did this to us lol) Anywho, you could say I was very knew at cooking for the both of us, but Ty did a good job faking most of the time that my homemade hamburger help was "good and fulfilling". I can remember how excited I was to go to work and come home to my new cookbook I got from my wedding to try all the recipes. NOT. I used maybe the three simplest recipes out of there. Oh yea, I failed with the George Forman too... (yes. it was that bad) Moving on, Ty and I were super busy with school and work and it was tough cause we never got to see each other. I worked 8 to 5 while he was in school, then I would come home and he would have night school or work every night till midnight. The one thing we were grateful is that we were able to make using one car do-able with our hectic schedules. After a busy first semester for Ty and busy work schedule for me, our honeymoon came!!!

May - August 2011: Ty and I spent the first part of May on a carnival cruise ship. Our cruise ship was called Carnival Dream. Our director was the BEST I have ever had on any cruise I have been on. I don't remember his name, but he was Minnesota and had that terrible accent lol. Anywho, on our cruise, Ty and I had the opportunity to go to Belize, Cozumel, Honduras, and some other little island. Ty and I disliked Cozumel the most. Everyone talked it up like it was amazing, I guess Ty and I weren't too impressed. Belize had to had have been our favorite because being broke newlyweds, we used all the money we had on a great snorkeling adventure. It was pretty fun. Lots of drunk people which made it quite entertaining for two mormon kiddos. When we got to the reef to snorkel, I was pretty brave getting into the water. After about five minutes, Ty got sick of me clenching onto his arm and pushed me off and swam off on his own. Mean huh? lol. I was just hoping good ol' brucie wasn't commin to get me. After our snorkeling adventure, our tour guides drove us to a private island where there were hammocks to relax, canoes to row, and beautiful beach sand galore! Ty and I have a "ya had to be there" story involving a man with a canoe in three feet of water, but I won't go there... too long to share. Anywho, from the fun in the sun, late nights on the top deck, shows every night, and the people we met, this honeymoon was definitely one we will never forget. Oh yeah I almost forgot! Ty got called up on stage the first night and had a dance off. Too funny, but hey he faced his fear. There is always a first for everything right? Wow ok that was way too long, moving on! After our cruise, Ty went to Lousiana to sell security systems for the summer. I had the opportunity to go out mid June and visit him. Being in Louisiana felt good and bought back way too many memories. I had the opportunity to go to a Saint's game with Ty and our good friends Scott and Ashley, I got to go the big aquarium, I got the see the sad destruction of what Katrina did to the city, I got to visit family I had not seen in almost 11 years, and last, but not least, I got to go on an airboat and hunt some gators!! I love that Ty gets to travel for his job right now cause I love to travel the states! Furthermore, in July, I was blessed with a beautiful baby nephew. Kenneth Carter Reisinger is my pride and joy. It was probably one of the best events of the year when that little stinker came into my life and I am forever grateful for my brother Kenny and his girlfriend Jaynee to bring him into this earth. I don't think our families' lives would be the same without him. He has keep us smiling through the ups and downs thus far and it has been so fun to watch him grow.
The day I became an auntie. <3
Cutest bug around.

September - December 2011: HOLIDAYS GALORE! When Ty came home, it was back to school and bring on the holiday pounds! Ty bought a BMW and it is such a fun car! He definitely deserved it with how hard he worked during the summer. Halloween wasn't too eventful for us. Besides getting fat off candy, Ty and I were boring and didn't dress up or celebrate the holiday at all. :( Thanksgiving was great. My grandparents came up for the weekend and we sat around and watched the Thanksgiving Macy's parade, ate a nice turkey dinner, and of course was up all night for Black Friday shopping ( which is dumb because none of us buy anything anyways lol). Christmas was spent with both of our families. Ty and I (well mostly me) spent way too much on both sides of the family, but it was great to see their faces when they opened their gifts. All in all, through out all the crazy holiday festivities, we made it out of the semester with A's and B's!
Tell me he isn't the cutest Woody you have ever seen?!

Family Picture Fall 2011

January - April 2012 : Our anniversary came and well you could say it wasn't too eventful. It landed on a Sunday so we went to the Draper Temple (where we were married) and did what all couples do.. take pictures and act like we are the happiest married couple alive hahaha. The best part about that day was we drug my little brother along to celebrate by going to Outback Steakhouse and enjoying the steaks that ended up being disgusting. In conclusion, it wasn't too romantic lol. Our semesters in school were pretty intense. Luckily it was Ty's last semester of taking an English class ever again and I was finally facing my fears and took Biology 1010 which I heard nothing but horror stories about. After a long hard semester, Ty and I came out on top.. STRAIGHT A'S baby!
One year Anniversary
